We are honored to introduce Sanae Sugimoto as one of the newest KOKKA collaborating artists. Her pen-and-ink illustrations are overflowing with charm and whimsy and have been beautifully recreated on a cotton-linen blend sheeting. This print is called "Circus Night" and depicts a lively performance of horse riders, jugglers, and tambourine players.
Sheeting fabrics have a stable weave and are perfect for sewing a variety of DIY projects, but especially the following:

About Sanae Sugimoto
Sanae Sugimoto was born in Tottori Prefecture, Japan in 1975. After studying oil painting in Kyoto, Sugimoto relocated to Fukuoka in southern Japan, where she is still based now. Her works are inspired by classical works of English literature and are defined by her use of traditional Japanese ink, known as "sumi."
